About this tournament
Get ready to swing through the verdant wilds of Golden Gate Park with the return of the San Francisco Safari, where disc golfers unite for a thrilling competition amidst the majestic trees. This year, we're embracing a TREE theme, celebrating the iconic arboreal wonders that define our beloved Golden Gate Disc Golf Course.
As nature's guardians, we understand the love-hate relationship with trees—how they challenge our throws yet enhance the course's allure. With each winter storm, some trees may fall, but we see this as an opportunity to give back to our environment. Our dedicated TD team has been nurturing Redwoods, and we'll be planting them during the work parties leading up to the tournament.
The spirit of the San Francisco Safari is rooted in community and conservation. It's an all-volunteer event, this year every penny of profit will be channeled directly into planting more trees on the course. Join us for tee times across three days, each day presenting a new layout amidst the breathtaking canopy of Golden Gate Park. Let's swing, toss, and putt our way to a greener, more vibrant future for our cherished disc golf sanctuary.
