Diameter Open DGPT Q-Series Supported by Innova

The Diameter Open is now a DGPT Q-Series event for 2024. This was just announced on February 8th by the Disc Golf Pro Tour.

The tournament will be on September 13-15th at Haute Goat Disc Golf in Port Hope Ontario. This is a rest week of the DGPT between the Great Lakes Open and the Green Mountain Championship. Haute Goat is about halfway between these two events on the shortest possible drive. Check out the link below for mapping.

The Diameter Open DGPT Q-Series is for Pro and AM1 level players. The event is also privileged to be a qualifier for the:
USDGC - United States Disc Golf Championship
TPWDGC - Throw Pink Women's Disc Golf Championship

This event is late in the season and should be a great opportunity for some of the pros to visit Canada and try to win their spot on the Disc Golf Pro Tour and a ticket to the Championships in Rock Hill.

We have posted a schedule that is quite accurate for the weekend of competition but will clearly be tweaked otherwise as we expand this from a weekend tournament to include some opportunities for others to play the course, join a clinic or simply visit Haute Goat during the week.

This is a three day PDGA sanctioned A-tier. Registration has opened already. In response to the DGPT announcement we have implemented the specified tiered registration process to ensure there is space for the touring pros hoping to play. The tiered registration is specified by the DGPT.

We are finalizing the Golden Goat Layout to challenge the pro divisions, ready to play fully in the spring. Plenty of time for everyone to practice up and be ready for competition in September.

We will be able to offer camping on-site for touring pros traveling between Michigan and Vermont that week who register for the Diameter Open. We may be able to offer camping to all competitors too, updates coming soon. Haute Goat is only an hour from Toronto, and only a six hour drive to the GMC.

The PDGA now requires tournaments to publicize 'pass through fees' at time of registration, for this event the pass through fees will be $72.32CA including HST/player. This covers three rounds of tournament level play at Haute Goat at $20 each, $4 PDGA fees for an A-tier and $8.32 of HST.
