About this tournament
This is a 1 round tournament to celebrate the life of Evan Pate. All proceeds will be donated to EDGE disc golf in Evan’s name.
Evans love for Disc Golf was infectious. He had the opportunity to play courses in Las Vegas and other states as well. When he moved to North Carolina, that’s where his love for the game evolved, and became his favorite outdoor sport. He always loved the challenge of the courses here and grew very competitive in the sport. Evan played in many tournaments here in North Carolina and also volunteered during most events. Evan enjoyed watching everyone of all ages play and compete, but most importantly to just have fun. Evan loved sharing tips to better a player’s game and offering his knowledge about Disc Golf. Although Evan took Disc Golf seriously, he loved nothing more than being outside surrounded by nature and his best friends playing under Carolina Blue Skies. The courses he loved playing included Glenn Hilton, Sawmills and Hudson. Glenn Hilton being his favorite. Your presence will always be near and felt by so many during every game. You will always be loved and missed but never forgotten. ♥️ Jennifer
Evan had a love for the sport that would greatly spread to others. And with that influence it helped push those others to have the same love for the game, become better, challenge themselves to be good, take risky shots, be competitive and most of all just have fun! Evan greatly enjoyed the game and had the upmost respect for any player or any course. He loved the competition, he loved the outdoors, he loved the company of friends, and mostly he loved the sound of chains! Always kept his trash up off the course, always helped others with pointers and tips to the game, and always played with pride. Evans influence to others will not be forgotten.
