About this tournament
The King of the Putt is back! We were able to reschedule the event to Sunday, August 6. Who will be the champion this time?
Entry is $30 per team. This is a bring your own partner event. Each player will need two putters.There is max of 32 teams. Teams will play a match to at least 21 points. There will be two spots to put from, 1 point line and 2 point line. Teams will alternate turns throwing their putts. Each player will take two putts from either line. If a team makes all 4 putts and at least two putts are made from the 2 point line, that team will earn a 2 point bonus. If both teams are tied at 21 or higher, they will play full rounds until a team gets a higher score. Each match will begin with a flip to see which team goes first.
Prelims: Teams will be split into brackets. Each team will play at least 3 prelim matches against the other teams in their bracket.The number of teams that move onto the playoffs is determined by the number of teams that are signed up.
Tie Breakers: In the event that two teams in a bracket are tied, the following tie breakers will be used to determine who advances or get which seed.
1) Most points scored
2) Point differential
3) Head to head
4) Playoff match will be played
Playoffs: Once the prelims are finished, the teams that move on will play in the playoffs. Each playoff match will be best 2 of 3. The winning team will move onto the next round of the playoffs.
Prizes: Cash prizes to the top teams! Prize money will be based off the number of teams entered.
1-4 teams: Top 2 teams paid out.
5-11 teams: Top 3 teams paid out.
12-32 teams: Top 4 paid out.
Rules:
No jump or step putting. All putts are within the circle.
No outside alcohol allowed. All purchased drinks must be kept inside the gate or building.
Smoking/vaping is not allowed on the property. Tobacco/nicotine vapes can be used in the smoking area in front of the building. Any other substances are not allowed on the property.
