About this tournament

Come on out to Oxbow Falls in Canastota to play the first sanctioned round featuring the alphabet loop! One of CNY's most fun and scorable courses has received some teeth in the form of a nine-hole loop that runs between Holes 13 and 14. It's challenging and the rough may still be rugged, but the lines are fair and the scenery is fantastic as many of the holes play along the water. So gear up for a round of 27 holes!

This event is a one-round C-Tier featuring tee times throughout the day -- perfect for players of all experience and skill levels. Pick when you play; pick who you play with (as long as you coordinate and act swiftly). You don't need a PDGA membership to register, though there is a $10 non-active membership fee.

OB for Sunday:

Hole 3: Concrete under pavilion. Blacktop is NOT OB.
Hole 10: Parking lot as defined by horizontal boards of fence
Hole A: Flagged ditch/stream area
Hole B: Flag line left
Hole D: Flag line right. Pink/red flags on left indicate a free relief area. That plays exactly as OB without the stroke penalty. Do not attempt to throw from the hillside.
Hole E: Free relief area around barbed wire
Hole F: Flagged ditch/stream area
Hole G: Flag line left

I did my best to make the OB lines on the alphabet loop safe and not overly punitive. That said, it’s a tight, technical group of holes. You’ve been made aware. Feel free to go take a look before your round.

All amateurs will receive a custom-stamped Innova disc (thanks Karin Falcone for the design!) as well as a $10 gift card to our title sponsor, Rapid Rivers. There will be no am payouts or trophies, but there will be a premier all-am CTP (bag/basket/$100 RRDG gift card) as well as some other fun amenities listed below.

Pros will be competing for a purse that includes $250 added cash.

For all players: Meier's Creek Brewing Company will be providing a half-keg to be enjoyed at tournament HQ.

There will also be a 50/50 raffle at tournament HQ supporting Wendy Courbat's Fright Night -- a glow event set for Oct. 28 that raises money each year for The Alzheimer's Association.

So get signed up when registration opens. This is a chance to celebrate the hard work of those who upgraded Oxbow, log some initial rated rounds in, and start to lay the fundraising groundwork for an amazing 2024 Syracuse Open.
