Trifecta Smash
About this tournament
Trifecta Smash is a 4:20 related, three person team tournament that is fun as hell. This will be my fourth year doing this and for those of you returning it’s gunna be better than years past which will hopefully be a task I can continue to achieve. With that being said I made some tweaks to make it more interesting and fun!
We will be playing a 20 hole layout, so 2 more extra holes than previous years. In past years I have also had everyone play from one set of tees. This year will be different, out of the 3 players 2 of you will play from the white tee and one will play from a reds/shorter tee. These players don’t need to stay the same you can alternate. Interesting addition is if there is a team with only two people, one of those 2 must tee twice once from the white and once from the shorter tee for that hole. Mulligans will be in play again. Each player will get one per round and can buy up to 5 total for 5$ a piece. Each team will also be rewarded a mulligan but only one.
Like all my other tournaments I like having ways for those who don’t always play well to have ways to win. There will be CTPs on at least 6 holes and no person can win more than 2, I will reward it to the previous winner. I also do a scavenger hunt in which this year I will have painted rocks like usual that will get you a prize at the end. However if you find a playing card it’ll either grant you a mulligan or negate an opponents mulligan use. All face cards will be mulligans( jack, queen, king) and an ace card will allow you to negate an opponents use of a mulligan. Most of the other game play is self explanatory no strange rules, a few natural OBs I will be making a couple Mando on some holes but I’ll have them marked well.
Lunch will be provided I will most likely be doing some chicken burritos possibly this will be subject to change however food will be provided. I will also have some PBJ if no one is interested in chicken or chili.
We gunna have some sweet goodies for everyone. There will be a custom epoxy 420 related mini for everyone with a select amount of non 420 related epoxy minis this year and I will have options for those who do partake in the 4:20 and those who do not. (It’s only 4:20 related not required). I will also have some sick dyed discs to giveaway for prizes. There will be trophies made this year as well awarding to 3rd place. Also of course I will be doing a raffle with a limit of prizes though it went on for too long last year. For the ace pool like last year I will have a sick dyed disc by yours truly for ya but someone has to hit it there will be no throw off it’ll go into prizes or raffle.
I do as much as I can to make this fun but it is a fundraiser tournament and we have big plans coming this year in the Chautauqua area. Unfortunately last year was a flaky year and I wasn’t able to raise much to get started on anything. I am still working on raising money for James Johnson’s course Oasis in Cassadaga NY which we play in our rotation for our local league. plus his place has insane potential.
So like always come have a great time and support us doing great stuff for this sport we all love.
We do have camping available like always just let me know if your coming the night before so I can let Bart know who owns the property.
