Borderline A course. Finesse course. Great to work w fairway drivers and midrange off of the tees. Only 1 tee pad per hole w Astro turf which is top quality. So much variety to this course. On busy days the crossover holes (which mostly are well thought out) are #7 basket to #8 tee pad, #12 to #13 tee pad and the more risky #14 to #15 tee pad which goes through the fairway of #5. On busy days the crossover holes (which mostly are well thought out) are #7 basket to #8 tee pad, #12 to #13 tee pad and the more risky #14 to #15 tee pad which goes through the fairway of #5. There are no benches or trash cans. The water hole on #6 is very manageable. There are a few S-curve tee shots, notably #2 & #5, maybe #12 as well. #9 is the elevated basket in the tree. Be aware there are small water patches that come off of the pond and surround where you want to land for that elevated up putt on #9. There are plenty of opportunities for deuces even though #10 was my only 1 on this day.
#11 is an absolute righteous uphill elevated basket putt barring you park your midrange drive off that tee. #16 is the double mando hole. It’s a beautiful line to throw down. #18 is truly the hole that puts this as arguably an A course because it’s the only hole over 400 feet at around 615. I really loved this course and know I will play it better next time here. It’s a good 1. Less than 2 miles off of the highway. Definitely make the trip. It’s extremely fun because once you know it, you can score here.

The Guernsey County Community Development Corporation did all of the course work as I oversaw the project. A huge thank you to CDC Executive Director Ron Gombeda as well. As for the course, Bobcat Run is incredible. The comments from so many players is that it's one of the most unique courses and each hole has its own character. There are three holes to air it out 1, 7 and 18, but most of the course is technical and you have to be able to place shots. We heard feedback that it has the potential to be a Top 10 course in the state. When you see the surprise around the bend on No. 5 or the basket on 9 or the green on 11, you will see why people are already falling in love with the course. We hope you enjoy it and it becomes a true destination course.
